Just another Friendster Blogs weblog

I wish to post something about Cosplay Bacolod – where and how did it all
began. I have this principle that, the best way to appreciate a cause or a
thing is to know more about it. Right now, being a web support and being away
from the Team is really tough. I can’t be there to support the Team - just be
there sipping coffee and talking or eating a lunch with my big appetite with katz-oneesama.
So this is my way of helping.

We started off as a group of people who happen to love cosplaying. Would you
believe me if I say that the first time we cosplayed – Naruto Live: Oct 2007 –
we just met up and seen each other ON THE SAME NIGHT? Hahahaha! It was just a
night to enjoy doing what we commonly like. We walked all over Lacson wearing
our costumes proud to be a Bacolodnon. That’s a really precious memory there –
great memory.

On that same year, we met up an a café and started talking about plans for
the next year. Katz-oneesama made it official and called our Team – TINTA Production.
It became a bond that spun each of us together to work for a common cause.
There were mixed reaction about it – some are happy and others are equally annoyed
but nonetheless, we pushed through. Right now, its not an individual group that
matters. The whole worth more than that of the sum of its parts.

COSPLAY BACOLOD – yes. It was then it was born. Coined by the Team, it’s
like a collective noun for everyone who cosplay and wish to put up and
represent Bacolod through Cosplaying. Yes all for the love of it. People who are
avid fans of anime’, mangas, cosplays and alike – all who are willing – with a
common denomination, that is the love for this art.Cosplay Bacolod is not a
official group of the City YET(for everyone’s information: people who wish to
form a Organization of a certain City, they must have their group duly
accredited and represented at the Municipal. In order to do so, one must reach
certain requirements. These are being worked on in the process.) but soon, we
pray it will be.

With this, we hope through everybody’s effort we can spread this like wild
fire!^___^ Let us show that the smiling facemasks that Bacolod is known of is
not the only thing she can brag about. If you look closer, cosplaying is like a
mask. A mask that covers your whole being and let us be our beloved character
just for a night. Just like the magic that covered Cinderella in one night’s
ball.
